Το Σάββατο λοιπόν, 1 Δεκεμβρίου, το Origins Sound System γιορτάζει τα 3α του γενέθλια στο Red Sea και στο πλαίσιο αυτό, ο Systematic, ιδρυτής και τεχνίτης του Origins, προσκαλεί τον Mighty Prophet, έναν από τους πιο δραστήριους παραγωγούς των τελευταίων ετών. Ο Systematic παρέα με τον Γιώργο Καστανό στο σαξόφωνο θα προθερμάνουν τo dancefloor με τον δικό τους ιδιαίτερο τρόπο.

Ο Mighty Prophet ξεκίνησε την πορεία του το 2006, με την παραγωγή κομματιών και dubplates για το label του Ghettocity Sound System, Ghettocity Productions. Το 2009 ίδρυσε την δική του δισκογραφική Higher Regions Records, παράγοντας συνεχώς νέους ήχους στο MW Studio. Από το 2009 μετράει πάνω από 32 κυκλοφορίες σε ψηφιακή αλλά και αναλογική μορφή. Στο διάστημα της πορείας του έχει εμφανιστεί σε διάφορα μέρη όπως Γαλλία, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, Ελλάδα, Πολωνία, Ιταλία καθώς και σε φεστιβαλ όπως το ξακουστό Rototom.

Στο ήδη πλούσιο βιογραφικό του έρχεται να προστεθεί η συνεργασία του επί σκηνής με πολύ σημαντικούς καλλιτέχνες και sound systems της dub σκηνής όπως Murray Man, Idren Natural, Ramon Judah, Madu Messenger, Chazbo, King Alpha, Fikir Amlak, Equal Brothers Sound System, Red Lion Sound Systems. Σπάνια θα βρεθείτε σε κάποια sound system βραδιά και δεν θα τύχει να ακούσετε κάποιο dubplate ή κομμάτι του  Mighty Prophet. Βετεράνοι του είδους όπως Jah Shaka, Channel One, Iration Steppas, King Earthquake, King Shiloh στηρίζουν επίσης την δουλειά του και συνεχώς προωθούν την μουσική του. Κλείνοντας να πούμε πως ο Mighty Prophet είναι ιδρυτής της Roots Traders και της Digital Traders Record, labels με βάση το Λονδίνο.

Όλα τα παραπάνω συνηγορούν στο ότι το 7ο Sound System Culture θα είναι μια μουσική βραδιά που ΔΕΝ πρέπει να χάσετε.

Sound System Culture is a series of Roots/Reggae/UK Dub events in the city of Athens. The events are powered by the mighty Origins Sound System, a unique hand made speciment of craftmenship of both electronics and woodwork. Origins carries a heavy bass sound, 100% customised to reproduce the music we love, the way it should be heard.

So on Saturday 1st of December Origins is celebrating its 3 year anniversary at Red Sea. To celebrate this event, Systematic  sound owner and craftsman is inviting Mighty Prophet, one of the most active and recognised dub producer. Systematic alongside George Kastanos on the saxophone will warm up the session with their own special way!

Mighty Prophet, started his career back in 2006 making tunes and dubplates for Ghettocity Sound System’s label, Ghettocity Productions. In 2009 he started his own record label, Higher Regions Records  producing ever since fresh dub tracks and productions at MW Studio. From 2009 he counts more than 32 releases in both digital and physical form. In his career he has played in many countries all around Europe as well as famous music festivals like Rototom.

In his already heavy loaded bio, it doesn’t come as a surprise that we see that Mighty Prophet has collaborated with some of the most prestigious artists in the Dub scene, like Murray Man, Idren Natural, Ramon Judah, Madu Messenger, Chazbo, King Alpha, Fikir Amlak, Equal Brothers Sound System, Red Lion Sound Systems. It is highly unlikely that you won’t hear some of Mighty Prophet productions when you’re skanking on a Sound System dance. Scene veterans like Jah Shaka, Channel One, Iration Steppas, King Earthquake, King Shiloh support Prophet’s work and contribution to Dub music by playing his tracks and dubplates. Last but not least, we must point out that Prophet is the owner of Roots Traders and Digital Traders Record label based in London.

All the above make Sound System Culture Vol.7 a night to remember!!!
